Terms of Service
Last updated June 2026
These terms govern your use of Screenpay. By using the service you agree to them. Screenpay is currently in single-tenant beta.
1. What Screenpay is
Screenpay is a record-keeping and calculation tool for Australian talent payroll. It computes suggested pay figures from published awards and legislation, flags likely compliance issues, and generates files you can use to pay people through your own bank.
2. What Screenpay is not
Screenpay is not a bank, payment service, payroll bureau, or registered tax or BAS agent. It does not hold, receive, or move money. It does not lodge anything with the ATO or any super fund on your behalf. Nothing in Screenpay is financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the payments you make. Calculations are estimates based on the inputs you provide and the rules as we understand them. You should confirm figures with your accountant or registered agent before paying people or lodging anything.
- ·Verify bank details before transferring funds. Screenpay cannot recover a payment.
- ·Keep your own records as required by law. The Screenpay trail is a convenience, not a substitute.
- ·Ensure you have the right to enter and store any personal data about your talent.
4. Availability
The beta is provided as-is, without warranty. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to avoid data loss but you should keep your own copies of anything important.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Screenpay is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including incorrect calculations, missed obligations, or payment errors. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
